About this opportunity:
As the People and Culture Senior Coordinator, you will be a true generalist across a range of retail-specific People & Culture functions. You will lead onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, employee relations, social initiatives, WHS, and training.
As the first point of contact, you will have exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships with our diverse teams that will ensure they feel supported and guided throughout their journeys with The Aje Collective.
- Be a key point of contact for employee queries, providing first-level HR support and escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist in the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management.
- Create and send employment contracts and other documentation for employee variations
- Manage all employee changes by keeping HRIS and employee files up to date
- Support and manage retail employee relations by providing guidance on policies, resolving workplace issues, ensuring compliance and assisting with performance management conversations
- Manage end-to-end retail recruitment by creating and posting job ads, coordinating with hiring managers, updating job descriptions, optimizing recruitment materials, maintaining records, and leading key hiring initiatives.
- Keep up to date with all changes to the General Retail Award
- Champion Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
- Oversee the delivery of all culture-building activities and initiatives, across retail locations
- Managing WorkCover claims includes lodging claims, coordinating with employees, insurers, and medical providers, ensuring compliance, and assisting employees and managers throughout the process.
- Implement formalised templating for all development opportunities, inclusive of performance improvement, performance management, and up-skilling/succession planning.
- Prepare regular reports on employee engagement, turnover, and recruitment trends.
- Support the Head of People & Culture and People & Culture Business Partner on key people & culture projects
You will bring:
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience working in Human Resources or a related field
- Experience working in-house for a retail brand will be highly desirable
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to use and navigate various online advertising platforms and HRIS
- Experience managing conflicting priorities and expectations set by the hiring managers
- High attention to detail that allows you to pick up on nuances within people and processes
- The ability to be autonomous and self-directed in carrying out tasks that contribute to overarching department goals
