About this opportunity:
Design/development:
- Work closely with the design and merchandising team to ensure quality products are delivered in line with the company expectations and parameters.
- Managing all development deadlines in adherence with the critical path, prioritising workflow under the guidance of the Product Manager.
- Assist the designers by setting up tech packs including BOM and tech CADS for the factories
- Support all suppliers and the wider team to solve specific make, fabrication, or construction queries.
- Process lab dips, strike offs, and submissions to the factory
- Ensure effective workflow by ongoing communication with suppliers, ensuring their
- understanding of tech packs and responding to questions and technical issues
- quickly and efficiently.
Critical Path/Production:
- Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure seasonal timelines are maintained according to the company-wide critical path, while seamlessly working on multiple seasons simultaneously.
- Ensuring all risks to Production delivered to retail are mitigated and reduced.
- Upload styles into AP21
- Create and maintain a shared production tracking document to ensure production is tracked across all stages.
- Ensure that all suppliers adhere to the delivery window for each purchase order placed.
- Liaise with the design team to ensure any design issues that may affect production and delivery timelines are resolved with urgency.
- Manage and approve all production fabrics, linings, and trims against set standards from design.
Garment Tech and Product:
- Attend production fit sessions to monitor development progress.
- Provide a weekly update in the Product Meetings to design and production departments on workflow.
- Request, track, and monitor Pre-Production and Shipment Samples in line with
- critical path – key dates.
- Track Receipt and Approval of pre-production and shipment samples within an acceptable timeframe. Distribute to relevant tech team members for processing.
You will bring:
- Degree or equivalent accredited course in Fashion
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in fashion retail head office.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive
- Thorough understanding of aspects of the design and product development process
- Proactive interest in keeping at the forefront of the industry and bringing in best practice initiatives.
- Experience in working with offshore vendors
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to react quickly to feedback and adjust planning and designs accordingly.
- Understanding of aesthetic and quality standards of designer-level products
- Highly organised individual with Impeccable follow-up and precise attention to detail
- Self-motivation, problem-solving and critical thinking
