About this opportunity:

  • Research market trends, consumer preferences and emerging trends to inform design decisions
  • Create mood boards, colour palette, and sketches to develop innovative and cohesive collection concepts
  • Support in creating innovative products that delights and engages customers
  • Create and maintain tech packs and critical style information including creating CADs and coversheets, communicating all design, fit, trim, technical construction, finishing’s and reference information required by suppliers to make protos and SMS samples which are accurate to the approved designs
  • Work closely with the production and garment tech teams to ensure that design samples meet the brand’s quality and aesthetic standards
  • Provide detailed technical specifications and work with garment techs to ensure designs are accurately translated into final product
  • Communicate lab dip/strike-off feedback to suppliers and requesting additional submissions in accordance with critical path
  • Update seasonal design development documents inclusive of line sheets and department style boards to be sure all information is correct and current so that the wider team and business can use this as a reference
  • Work with the Product Developer to select appropriate fabrics and materials, considering cost, quality and suitability for the design
  • Manage fabrics, yarns, embroideries, trims & print developments in accordance with critical path, cost/pricing expectations

You will bring:

  • Strong interest in colours, design details, fabrics and print development
  • Highly organised, detail oriented
  • Experienced in working in a fast-paced design environment, managing multiple seasons simultaneously & quick to learn new ways of working 
  • Ability to critically think and take initiative
  • Efficient and energetic in undertaking of tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills
